Schedule

    Depart in the morning from Moshi or Arusha and drive to the Marangu Gate, where your adventure begins. After registering with park authorities, start your guided hike through the lower slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro.

    The trail passes through mossy rainforest filled with colobus monkeys, colorful birds, and rare plants. Hike up to Mandara Hut (around 2,700 meters) and enjoy sweeping views of Maundi Crater and, on clear days, Kenya’s Mount Mawenzi in the distance.

    After a short rest and picnic lunch, begin your descent and return to your hotel in the late afternoon.
