Schedule

  • Day 1Arusha to Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, depart Arusha and drive to Tarangire National Park, known for its majestic baobab trees and large elephant herds. Begin your game drive along the Tarangire River, where wildlife congregates during the dry season.

Spot lions, giraffes, wildebeest, and even leopards if you’re lucky. Enjoy a picnic lunch inside the park before continuing your safari into the afternoon.

  • Day 2Lake Manyara National Park

Today you'll explore the compact but wildlife-rich Lake Manyara National Park, located at the base of the Great Rift Valley escarpment. The park is famous for its tree-climbing lions, baboon troops, flamingos, and varied habitats from rainforest to soda lake.

After a relaxed game drive and lakeside picnic lunch, take an optional cultural tour of Mto wa Mbu village, including a banana plantation, local craft market, and a traditional food tasting.

  • Day 3Ngorongoro Crater Rim Walk & Relaxation

After breakfast, enjoy a short walking safari or crater rim walk (with an armed ranger) to learn about local flora, birdlife, and traditional uses of medicinal plants. Take in breathtaking views from the rim, followed by a relaxing afternoon at the lodge.

This lighter day helps guests prepare for tomorrow’s crater safari, and it's great for families and photographers looking for slower moments.

  • Day 4Ngorongoro Crater Safari & Return to Arusha

Rise early for the highlight of your trip a game drive inside the Ngorongoro Crater, often called “Africa’s Eden.” Descend into the world’s largest intact caldera for a half-day safari among dense animal populations.

Expect to see elephants, hippos, lions, hyenas, flamingos, and possibly even black rhinos. After lunch by a hippo pool, begin your drive back to Arusha, arriving by evening.
